Home Test To Check The Health Of Thyroid Gland – You Need Only One Thing
Dr. Broda Barnes, the doctor who was far ahead of his time, even 50 years ago discovered that the temperature of the body is a good indicator of thyroid activity, in particular the body temperature immediately after waking up.
He wrote a book about thyroid activity with a description of the various problems and illnesses that may occur due to reduced activity of this important organ.
He also developed a simple home test that can be applied to check the status of your thyroid.
Here’s how to do it…
Before going to bed, take a thermometer and shake it well – be sure that the temperature in it is lower than 35 C.
The next morning, upon waking, place the thermometer under the armpit. Make sure that between the thermometer and hand there are no clothes. Leave the thermometer for 10 minutes. This time you can take a moment to rest.
After 10 minutes, read the results and immediately write it down. The result is known as “early morning basal temperature”. Normal temperature is between 36.5 and 36.8.
The temperature may vary due to infectious disease in women who have periods. It is therefore recommended to make this test if you are healthy and you do not have your period.
The test results
1. If your temperature is between 36.5 and 36.8, your thyroid gland is working normally.
2. If the temperature is below 36.5, then it is reduced work of the thyroid (hypothyroidism). The symptoms of reduced work of the thyroid are depression, lack of energy, fatigue, infections, chronic headaches, lack of memory and concentration, loss of hair, etc.
3. If the temperature is higher than 36.8, it is a rapid work thyroid (hyperthyroidism) or infection in the body.
For accuracy of results it is recommended that the test is done for 3 days in a row.
If your temperature is above or below the normal range, we suggest you consult a conventional or alternative doctor to further confirm the diagnosis and get professional advice.
